Peggy Bishop, CPA, Partner, BeeneGarter

Peggy has over 35 years of experience in public accounting and specialized experience with nonprofit organizations. Serving as chairperson of the Nonprofit Industry Team, her focus includes board training, consulting, fundraising, and the adoption and implementation of nonprofit accounting and auditing standards. Peggy is an active volunteer and has served as board chair and treasurer for numerous nonprofit organizations. In June 2017, Peggy completed the AICPA’s not-for-profit certification program.

John T. McFarland, Attorney at Law, Miller Johnson

John T. McFarland is a Member at Miller Johnson and has been practicing law since 2000. He concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration (including fiduciary litigation), business succession planning, nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations, and tax law. Mr. McFarland has extensive experience in the area of charitable giving and planned giving and advises both individuals and nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations. Prior to his transition to law, John spent more than 10 years in development work at Hillsdale College.
