Have you ever found planned giving language difficult to interpret and even more difficult to explain to your donors? Have you ever gotten that glazed over look from the person on the receiving end of your seemingly endless monologue about gift vehicles? Fear not! Many gift officers wear multiple hats and are not, or feel they are not, fully equipped or prepared to have comprehensive planned giving conversations. What every gift officer needs to prepare for successful communication is the appropriate tools. We will discuss what that toolbox might look like and how to hone your skills to select the right tool for the right donor.
