It’s “Time to Draw the Line” takes aim at the fact that we have been solutions-focused in how we engage and provide advice to clients/donors. The Study on the Philanthropic Conversation with HNW client’s points this out loud and clear, stating “HNW clients are seeking more values-based discussions with advisors about their philanthropy”.
This presentation will show you how to separate conversations with clients/donors into two distinct realms we call Above and Below the Line Conversations. Whereas Below the Line Conversations focus on solutions, Above the Line Conversations focus on what a client/donor wants to achieve and why. When you are the one who helps the client/donor clarify what they want and why through Above the Line Discovery, you dramatically increase your opportunity to help solve it.
